This page describes what this site stores in your browser, and what the third parties we use store there. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.

What the site itself stores

Very little. The theme saves one thing, and only if you use it:

  • glhf-color-mode — remembers whether you chose the light or dark version of the site. Stored in your browser, never sent to us, removed when you clear your browsing data.

WordPress itself sets cookies for people who log in to edit the site. If you are just reading, those are never set. There are no comments on this site, so there are no comment cookies.

What other companies store

These are the ones that actually track you, and they are not ours:

  • Advertising — our ad network sets cookies to choose which ads you see, to limit how often you see the same one, and to measure clicks.
  • Analytics — [ANALYTICS PROVIDER] tells us which articles are being read and roughly where readers come from.
  • Embedded posts and videos — an embedded post or video loads from the platform it came from, and that platform can set cookies and see the request even if you do not interact with it.

Controlling them

Every browser lets you block or delete cookies, and most have a setting for third-party cookies specifically. Blocking them will not stop you reading anything here — the site does not depend on them — though embedded posts and videos may stop displaying.
